Green Hope High School’s band program, directed by Creighton Flowers, has been named a 2025–26 North Carolina Bandmasters Association Program of Distinction in the award's inaugural year. 

This new designation honors the top school music programs in the state for excellence at Music Performance Adjudication, strong student participation, community involvement, and advocacy. It is the highest honor in the NCBA Program of Merit, awarded for sustained excellence in performance, student achievement, leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
